Is my product affected?

Peg Perego high chairs

  • Brand Peg Perego USA Inc., of Ft. Wayne, Ind.

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Peg Perego USA is recalling three models of high chairs: the Prima Pappa, Roller, and Martinelli Pappa and Nanna. When these chairs are reclined, a gap can form between the armrest and backrest where a child's head or arm may become trapped, creating a risk of suffocation or injury. High chairs with 9-inch armrests are not affected by this recall. The model name can be found on the footrest or seat back, and recalled chairs have a sticker on the brace connecting the front and back legs that reads "Peg-Perego" and "Italy."

Consumers who have one of the recalled high chairs should stop using it immediately and call Peg Perego to receive free replacement armrests that will eliminate the entrapment hazard. The chairs should not be returned to the store where they were purchased.

Hazard

When the seat is reclined, the high chairs have a space between the armrest and backrest, in which a child's head or arm can become entrapped. This can pose a risk of suffocation or injury to the heads or arms of young children.

What should I do?

Consumers should stop using the high chairs immediately. Consumers should call Peg Perego to receive free replacement armrests that will eliminate the entrapment hazard. Consumers should not return the high chair to the store where purchased.
