Polaris is recalling Model Year 2017-2018 Brutus utility vehicles (UTVs) because the rear brake line can become punctured, which can cause the brakes to fail and create a collision and crash hazard. The recalled vehicles are two-seated models in gray, black, or blue with "POLARIS" on the front grille, "POLARIS BRUTUS" on the utility bed sides, and "DIESEL HD" on the front fenders. The specific models affected are the 2017 BRUTUS DSL HD PTO DLX, 2017 BRUTUS DSL HD PTO, and 2018 BRUTUS DSL HD PTO DLX with vehicle identification numbers (VINs) ending between 7740364 and 8576615, which can be found on a label in the left front wheel well.
