Dorel Juvenile Group USA is recalling two inclined sleeper models: the Eddie Bauer Slumber and Soothe Bassinet (model BT055CSY, beige) and the Disney Baby Doze and Dream Bassinet (model BT071DHS, purple). These products are designed for infants from birth to six months and consist of rectangular cushioned fabric pads on stands approximately two feet off the ground. Infant fatalities have been reported with inclined sleep products after infants rolled from their back to their stomach or side while unrestrained or under other circumstances.
Consumers should immediately stop using these inclined sleepers. According to the recall notice, affected consumers should contact Dorel for a refund in the form of a $60 voucher. The model number can be found on a label on the underneath side of the fabric of the inclined sleeper pad.
