Greenfield World Trade has recalled the Excalibur EZ DRY 5-tray food dehydrator (model numbers TTEVM50W or EVM50W) because the unit can overheat and pose a fire hazard. The recalled dehydrators are white, 600W electric models measuring approximately 12 inches tall by 15 inches wide and weighing 7 pounds. They feature a temperature dial with an on/off switch on the front and a vented see-through lid on top. The model number and date code are printed on a white label on the underside of the unit, with the TTEVM50W model bearing date code 3217 and the EVM50W model bearing date codes 4017 or 4516.
Consumers who own a recalled food dehydrator should immediately stop using it and contact Greenfield World Trade to receive a full refund.
