What happened

Kubota is recalling 2018 and 2019 model year ZD100 series gasoline-powered zero turn mowers because the throttle cable can contact internal electric wiring, which creates a fire hazard. The orange and black mowers are identified by their model number printed on the side, with specific serial number ranges affected for models Z122EBR-48, Z121SKH-48, Z125EBR-54, and Z125SKH-54. The model and serial numbers can be found on the data plate located on the lower frame of the unit.

Affected consumers should immediately stop using the recalled mowers and contact an authorized Kubota dealer to schedule a free inspection and repair. Kubota is contacting all known purchasers directly.
