myStromer is recalling all Stromer ST5 pedal-assist electric bicycles because the bicycle stem can break, which poses crash and injury hazards to riders. The recalled e-bikes have black or gray aluminum frames, hydraulic disc brakes, an integrated lithium battery inside the down tube, a rear hub motor, and a three-button switch on the handlebars. The bicycles have "Stromer" printed on the top tube and seat guard, with "ST5" printed on the downtube. The affected serial numbers range from VIN TBNST5S700SJA0001 through TBNST5S700SKF0065, which are etched on the bottom of the right-side chainstay.
According to the recall notice, consumers who own a recalled bicycle should immediately stop using it and take it to an authorized Stromer dealer for a free repair. myStromer is contacting all known purchasers directly about the recall.

This recall involves all Stromer ST5 pedal-assist electric bicycles. They were sold in a black or gray aluminum frame. Stromer is printed on the top tube of the bicycle frame and on the seat and chain guard. ST5 is printed on the downtube. Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) TBNST5S700SJA0001 through TBNST5S700SKF0065 is etched on the bottom of the right-side chainstay.
