Pain Relief Naturally is recalling all of its lidocaine-containing pain and itch relief products because the packaging does not have child-resistant closures as required by law. The recalled products include Numbify, Extra Strength Numbify, Pre-TAT Tattoo, Superior Pain & Itch Relief, and Soothing Sore Relief creams, sprays, gels, and liquid gels sold in 1, 2, and 4 ounce containers with black packaging and gold, red, or green lettering. Young children who put these products on their skin or ingest them face a risk of poisoning from the lidocaine.
According to the recall notice, consumers should immediately store the product in a safe location out of reach of children and contact the firm to receive a free replacement cap. The notice also states that all known purchasers will be notified directly about the recall.
