What happened

Xtava is recalling its Allure and Allure Pro 2200W ionic ceramic hair dryers because the devices and their power cords can overheat and catch fire, creating fire, burn, and electrical shock hazards. The black or white handheld hair dryers came with a concentrator nozzle and were sold individually or as part of hair care kits that included items such as hair treatment products, flat irons, or diffusers. Many units have labels underneath the back bearing SKU numbers XTV010001, XTV010001N, XTV010002, or XTV010002N, and all units have "xtava" imprinted on the blower end.

Consumers who own these hair dryers should immediately stop using them and contact Xtava to receive a free replacement hair dryer.
