What happened

Sleep Number is recalling foot warmers sold with Sleep Number 360 smart beds due to a burn hazard. The foot warmer, which sits under the mattress cover, can short circuit and overheat. The recall affects foot warmers sold exclusively with Sleep Number 360 smart beds in models i7 and i10 when combined with a FlexFit 3 adjustable base. The affected beds were sold in multiple sizes including TwinXL, Full, Queen, King, FlexTop King, California King, Split King, Split California King, and FlexTop California King, and were also provided to select consumers for research purposes beginning in November 2016.

Consumers who own an affected bed should immediately stop using and disable the foot warmer according to instructions provided by the company. Sleep Number is directly contacting all known consumers to provide a free replacement foot warmer and to arrange installation through an authorized technician.
