FedEx Supply Chain has recalled batteries installed in refurbished AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4 cellphones that were distributed through AT&T's Insurance program. Some of the batteries are counterfeit and contain anomalies that can cause them to overheat, creating fire and burn hazards. These non-original batteries were not supplied by Samsung, the phone's manufacturer.
If you own one of these recalled batteries, you should immediately stop using it and power down your smartphone. FedEx Supply Chain will mail you a free replacement battery with a green dot affixed to it, along with a postage-paid box to return the recalled battery. FedEx Supply Chain is contacting consumers directly about this recall.

The cellphone battery can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled battery and power down their smartphone. Consumers who own the recalled battery will receive by mail from FedEx Supply Chain a free, new replacement battery and a postage paid box to return the recalled cellphone battery. A green dot has been affixed to the replacement batteries. FedEx Supply Chain is directly contacting consumers.
This recall involves batteries placed into refurbished AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4 cellphones by FedEx Supply Chain and distributed as replacement phones through AT&T's Insurance program only.
