What happened

Madison Mill is recalling its model 23 and model 25 foldaway expandable safety gates due to safety hazards. The model 23 gate extends to 3 feet and the model 25 gate extends to 5 feet. Both gates have a "V" shaped opening along the top edge where a young child's neck can become trapped, creating entrapment and strangulation hazards. Additionally, young children can pass under the gates, which allows access to restricted areas like stairs.
