Horizon Hobby has recalled the Dynamite 40-Amp FWD REV Brushed ESC (model DYNS2201), an electronic speed control component in certain ECX brand remote-controlled model vehicles. The recalled vehicles are the ECX 1/10 LiPo Circuit, Ruckus, and Torment models with the following model numbers: ECX03130T1, ECX03130T2, ECX03131T1, ECX03131T2, ECX03133T1, ECX03133T2, and ECX03154. These hobby-grade remote control vehicles measure approximately 18 inches in length and 12 inches in width and are intended for ages 14 and up. The ESC component can fail and short circuit, creating a fire hazard.
Consumers who own these recalled vehicles should immediately stop using the product. According to the recall record, affected consumers should contact Horizon Hobby for instructions on receiving a free replacement ESC.
