Look Cycle is recalling Aerostems and certain road bike models (695 and 795 from 2014-2017) because the stainless steel clamp that holds the stem to the handlebars can corrode and break. This defect creates a fall and crash hazard for riders. The recalled Aerostems are black carbon fiber with a black steel clamp and either have no number or the number 380706 printed in white on the bottom of the clamp.
If you have an affected bicycle, you should immediately stop using it and return it to the place of purchase for a free repair. If you cannot return it to the retailer, contact Look Cycle directly for instructions on how to receive a free repair. This recall involves Look Cycle Aerostems sold either as an after-market component or installed as original equipment on Look Cycle model 695 and 795 road bikes for model years 2014 through 2017. The Look Aerostems are made of black carbon fiber material with a black steel clamp around the handlebars. Recalled models have either no number or the number 380706 printed in white on the bottom of the clamp.
