Boosted Recalls Electric Skateboards Due to Fire Hazard

What happened

Boosted is recalling 2nd Generation Boosted Dual+ electric skateboards because their lithium ion battery packs can overheat and smoke, creating a fire hazard. The affected skateboards have "Boosted" printed on the wooden deck and serial numbers starting with S2634 through S2644, found on a white sticker on the bottom of the board. The battery packs are black thermoplastic enclosures attached to the underside of the board and are marked with model number B2SR and "Boosted Lithium," with an orange power button.

If you own one of these recalled skateboards, you should immediately stop using it. Contact Boosted for a free replacement battery pack.

This recall involves 2nd Generation Boosted Dual+ electric skateboards with lithium ion battery packs. "Boosted" is printed on the wooden skateboards.
