What happened

Curio Design has recalled three Splyt Light modules, including Table Starter Kits, Hanging Starter Kits, Expansion Kits, and Tri-bases. These modular lamp kits allow consumers to design custom light fixtures by adding or subtracting Y-shaped pieces and candelabra bulbs. The lamps can be screwed directly into ceiling sockets or used with the table base and include large and small Y-shaped fixtures, a round-metal base, and eight 10-watt globe E12 light bulbs.

The modular lamp pieces can crack during assembly, and the lamp bases contain faulty wires that create shock and fire hazards. According to the recall, affected consumers should immediately stop using these lights and contact Curio Design to receive either a free replacement lamp or a full refund. Curio Design is contacting all known consumers directly.
