Maytag is recalling certain 30-inch electric ranges sold under the Crosley and Magic Chef brand names due to a fire hazard. Liquid can enter the indicator light on these ranges and cause sparking and flaming, which presents a risk of fire to consumers. The recalled Crosley models are CE35000AAW and CE35000AAT, and the recalled Magic Chef models are CER1110AAT and CER1110AAH. Consumers can identify the brand name on the control panel or back guard panel and locate the model number by opening the storage drawer and checking the tag on the left side.
If you own one of these recalled ranges, you should stop using it immediately and disconnect the power. Contact Maytag to schedule a free in-home repair to address the hazard.
