Summer Infant is recalling Lil' Luxuries Whirlpool, Bubbling Spa & Shower infant bath tubs because the fabric slings can detach from the tub, creating a risk of impact injury and drowning. The affected products are battery-operated whirlpool baths designed for infants from birth to 2 years old. The recalled bath tubs lack a white plastic attachment clip that holds the headrest area of the fabric sling to the plastic frame. The recall involves item numbers 18840, 18850, 18863, and 18873 that were sold between October 2012 and October 2013, identifiable by date codes on the fabric sling beginning with 1210, 1211, 1212, 1301, 1302, 1303, 1304, 1305, 1306, 1307, or 1308.
According to the recall, affected consumers should immediately stop using the fabric sling and contact Summer Infant to receive a replacement fabric sling with the white plastic attachment clip.
