Target is recalling four styles of children's task lamps due to safety hazards. The lamps can overheat, causing adhesive inside the lamp socket to melt and migrate toward the bulb area. When this glue cools and hardens on the light bulb base, it makes the bulb difficult to remove, which can result in a broken bulb and risk of cuts. Additionally, melted glue that reaches the electrical components of the lamp poses a fire hazard.
The recalled lamps come in four styles: Striped (navy head with sky blue and white stripes, blue base, UPC 490970221923), Sports (white head with baseball stitch pattern, blue base, UPC 490970222685), Dot (white head with multicolored dots, lavender base, UPC 490970224047), and Flower Dot (pink head with white flowers and leaves pattern, pink base, UPC 490970221947). Consumers should immediately stop using these lamps and return them to any Target store for a full refund.

Consumers should immediately stop using the lamps and return them to any Target store to receive a full refund.
