What happened

Adventure Playsets is recalling multiple swing set models due to a fall hazard caused by wood rot in the fort section's upright posts. The affected models are Bellevue, Bellevue II, Belmont, Durango, Durango II, Sedona, Tacoma, Tacoma II, Ventura, Ventura II, and Yukon, which were sold between 2004 and 2007 at retailers including Walmart, Toys-R-Us, Academy Sports, Mills Stores, and Menards. These swing sets feature swings, slides, ladders, and a fort structure with green or cranberry colored plastic-coated wood posts and a green nylon fabric shade.

According to the recall notice, consumers should immediately stop using the recalled swing sets and contact Adventure Playsets to obtain a free repair kit. The repair kits will include replacement angled or vertical upright posts appropriate for each model along with instructions for disassembling and reassembling the set.

The swing sets come with swings, slides and ladders. Each set has a fort structure that uses green or cranberry colored plastic coated 2"x 4" wood upright posts and a green nylon fabric covered shade. The sets were sold under the following names: Bellevue, Bellevue II, Belmont, Durango, Durango II, Sedona, Tacoma, Tacoma II, Ventura, Venture II and Yukon,. The name is printed on the manufacturer's instructions that came with the play set.
