What happened

Pelican Products is recalling Pelican 9410L flashlights equipped with lithium ion battery packs and replacement battery packs sold separately. The battery packs can overheat, creating a fire hazard. The recalled flashlights are yellow and black with "Pelican 9410L" printed on the front and top of the handle. Flashlights with manufacturer part numbers 9410-021-245 or 9410-021-110 printed on the packaging are affected. The recalled replacement battery packs have manufacturer part number 9413-301-001 printed on a label on the battery's shrink wrap and contain green shrink-wrapped cells.

Consumers who own recalled flashlights or replacement battery packs should immediately stop using them and contact Pelican for instructions on returning the flashlights for free installation of a new battery pack or exchanging replacement battery packs for new ones.
