Lithonia Lighting is recalling JHBL LED light fixtures manufactured between August 2014 and June 20, 2015 because the metal hub that mounts the fixture to the ceiling can break, causing the fixture to fall unexpectedly and potentially injure someone. The fixtures are 16 inches high by 22 inches wide, weigh about 40 pounds, and are white die castings with raised fins spaced 2 inches apart. The manufacture date can be found on the product label near the top of the fixture.
According to the recall notice, consumers who own an affected fixture should immediately contact Lithonia Lighting to receive a free chain that will secure the fixture to the ceiling. The company states it is contacting all known customers directly.

This recall involves JHBL LED light fixtures manufactured between August 2014 and June 20, 2015. Manufacture dates are located on the product label near the top of the light fixture. The light fixtures measure 16 inches high by 22 inches wide and weigh about 40 pounds. The fixtures are painted white die castings with raised heat dissipating fins every 2 inches. The lower die casting with fins is approximately 4 inches from the driver compartment box. Units shipped after June 20, 2015 are not included in the recall.
