Recycled Edition Bikes
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Wishbone Design is recalling its Recycled Edition Bikes, which are made from recycled black plastic and come with 12-inch air-filled white rubber tires. The bikes have adjustable seat heights ranging from 9 to 20 inches and weigh about 10 pounds. Two models are affected: a 3-in-1 model that adjusts as a 3-wheeler or 2-wheeler with high or low seat options, and a 2-wheeler model with high or low seat adjustability. The hazard involves the handlebar, which can pinch fingers at the center where it connects to the bike frame, creating an injury risk to children.
The recalled bikes have production date codes of either December 2013 or May 2014, which can be found in a round dial on the front frame under the seat. Consumers who own an affected bike should immediately stop using it and keep it away from children. To obtain the remedy, consumers should contact Wishbone or the store where they purchased the bike to receive a free neoprene cover for the handlebar.
