Bicycles with SR Suntour bicycle forks
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
SR Suntour is recalling bicycles from multiple manufacturers including Cannondale, Diamondback, Giant, GT, INA International, Nishiki, Schwinn, Scott, and Trek that are equipped with certain SR Suntour bicycle forks. The recalled forks are models M3010, M3020, M3030, NEX, and XCT with serial numbers in the top row beginning with "K" and ending with a number between 141101 and 150127. The problem is that the bolt attaching the upper fork to the lower fork can break or separate, causing the front wheel to detach and creating a crash hazard.
Consumers can identify recalled forks by looking at the back of the fork's crown, where the serial number appears in the first row and the model number in the second row. SR Suntour branding appears on stickers on both sides of the fork legs. According to the recall, consumers should immediately stop using bicycles with the recalled forks and return the bicycle to the place of purchase for a free inspection and repair.
