What happened

Apple has recalled all Beats Pill XL portable wireless speakers because the battery can overheat and create a fire hazard. The recalled speakers are plastic, capsule-shaped devices measuring approximately 4 inches tall by 13 inches wide by 4 inches deep, featuring a plastic mesh grille on the front and a carrying handle on the back. They are identified by a small "b" Beats logo on the grille and "beatspillXL" text on the handle, and they were sold in five colors: black, white, pink, metallic sky, and titanium.

If you own a recalled Beats Pill XL speaker, you should immediately stop using it and contact Apple. Apple will provide either a $325 Apple Store credit or electronic payment in exchange for the speaker. The company will furnish a postage-paid box for you to return your speaker to Apple.
