Precision Trading Corp. is recalling PREMIUM® four-cup Espresso Makers with model number PEM585 manufactured in September 2014 and November 2014 (identifiable by product date codes "0914" or "1114" on the rating label at the bottom). The filler cap on these units can crack and allow steam to escape, creating a burn risk to the user. Additionally, the cap may pop off unexpectedly due to pressure buildup, which could injure bystanders. Espresso makers with "2015" marked on the cap are not affected by this recall.
According to the recall notice, consumers who own recalled espresso makers should immediately stop using them and contact Precision Trading Corp. to request a free replacement cap.

The recalled units have model number PEM585 and product date code "0914" or "1114" printed on a rating label affixed to the bottom of the espresso maker. The Premium logo is printed on the bottom front of the espresso maker. Espresso makers with "2015" marked on the cap are not included in this recall.
