SULTAN and VYSSA crib mattress
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
IKEA is recalling certain SULTAN and VYSSA crib mattresses that measure 52 inches long and 27½ inches wide and were manufactured on May 4, 2014 or earlier. The recalled models are SULTAN BLUNDA, SULTAN DRÖMMA, SULTAN SNARKA, SULTAN SUSSA, VYSSA VACKERT, VYSSA VINKA, VYSSA SPELEVINK, VYSSA SLÖA, and VYSSA SLUMMER. These mattresses can create a gap between the mattress and crib ends that exceeds federal safety limits, which poses an entrapment hazard to infants. You can identify whether your mattress is affected by checking the manufacture date on the identification label attached to the mattress cover; dates in YY-WW format showing 14-18 or earlier are included in the recall.
If you have one of these mattresses, you should inspect it by checking whether there is a gap larger than two finger widths between the ends of the crib and the mattress. If any gap is larger than two finger widths, you should immediately stop using the mattress and return it to any IKEA store for either an exchange or a full refund.
