Design Ideas® and Neatlife® Rubber Ducky Magnets, and Design Idea® Blowfish and Splat Magnets
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Design Ideas is recalling miniature office and refrigerator magnets shaped like ducks, blowfish, and splats due to a hazard involving small magnets that can detach from the products. The magnets were sold in sets of four or six and feature brightly colored plastic designs with small magnets affixed to the underside. If swallowed, the magnets can link together inside a child's intestines and clamp onto body tissues, potentially causing intestinal obstructions, perforations, sepsis, and death. Internal injuries from magnets can also result in serious lifelong health effects.
The recalled magnets can be identified by model numbers 3205121 (duck), 993205114 (duck), 3205122 (blowfish), or 3205078 (splat) printed on the bottom of the packaging. According to the recall, consumers should immediately stop using the magnets and place them out of reach of children. The record states that affected consumers should contact Design Ideas for a refund.
