What happened

Atico International USA is recalling two models of heaters sold exclusively at Dollar General stores due to a fire hazard—these heaters have caught fire. The affected products are the Heater Fans model NSB-200B (item #A14B1053, UPC 40022749831) and the Portable Quartz Radiant Heaters model HD-700 (item #A14B0979, UPC 400022750066). Both models have manufacturing dates between June 1, 2010 and August 30, 2010, which can be identified by a date code marked as "DATE CODE: 0610" on the unit. The model number can be found on a silver-colored sticker on the bottom of each heater.

Since Atico International USA is out of business and no remedy is available, affected consumers should discard or destroy the recalled heaters.
