Philip Morris U.S.A. and Cyrk Inc. are recalling approximately 500,000 Parliament-branded key chains that were distributed free with cigarette purchases and at promotional events in the northeastern United States and Panama City, Florida, between August 1993 and September 1994. The disk-shaped key chains, measuring almost 2 inches in diameter and half an inch thick, contain liquid petroleum that poses a poisoning hazard to young children if ingested or inhaled, though the product is not hazardous when used as intended.
Consumers who have one of these key chains should contact Philip Morris at (800) 230-1101 to receive a postage-paid, leak-proof mailer for returning the item. Philip Morris will provide $5.00 for each returned key chain.
