"Firestopper" fire extinguishers
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
The CPSC and discount stores are recalling FIRESTOPPER brand fire extinguishers because the high-pressure contents inside can cause the units to explode, potentially exposing consumers to flying debris that could cause puncture wounds and blast injuries. The recalled fire extinguishers are yellow with black tops and red spouts, stand about 10 inches high, weigh 12 ounces, and are labeled with orange text reading "FIRESTOPPER" (with the "I" styled as a flame) along with phrases like "ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE" and "MADE IN THE USA."
If you own one of these fire extinguishers, you should discharge it into a plastic garbage bag or similar container outside in an open area. You can then return the discharged unit to the store where you purchased it to receive a refund.
