What happened

Stamina Products is recalling three models of elliptical machines: the Magnetic Cross Trainer Elliptical (Model No. 55-1772), the Air Elliptical Cross Trainer (Model No. 55-1725), and the Air Resistance Cross Trainer (Model No. 55-1723). The recall was issued because the pedal shafts on these machines could become loose from the cranks if not securely tightened during assembly, which could result in serious injury to users and/or damage to the equipment.

Stamina has modified the warning and assembly instructions in the owner's manuals to emphasize that pedal shafts must be securely tightened to the cranks. Consumers who own affected machines should contact Stamina to obtain the new warning and assembly instructions before assembling or using the elliptical machines.

Hazard
