What happened

Richard Abraham Herder KG has recalled torque wrenches sold under the Gedore/Rahsol, Mountz Titan, and Mountz Erico brand labels because the internal spring mechanism can fail or break. When this happens, bolts or screws may break or become unscrewed, potentially causing injury to the user or a bystander.

The recall affects specific model numbers and serial number ranges listed in the recall notice. To find out if your wrench is affected, check the model number on the label on the front and back of the steel tube and the serial number printed on the side of the wrench. Affected consumers should immediately stop using the recalled wrenches and contact Richard Abraham Herder KG to receive a repair or replacement, sending the wrench to either KLANN Tools, Inc. at 7187 Bryhawke Circle, Suite 700, North Charleston, SC 29418, or Mountz, Inc. at 19051 Underwood Road, Foley, AL 36535.
