What happened

Louisiana-Pacific is recalling composite deck boards and railings sold under the brand names LP WeatherBest®, ABTCo., and Veranda® that were manufactured by LP. These products, which come in colors including Tuscan Walnut/Chestnut, Driftwood Grey/Greystone, Pacific Cedar, and Western Redwood, can prematurely deteriorate and unexpectedly break, creating a fall hazard that may result in serious injuries.

Consumers who have the recalled decking should immediately contact LP for a free inspection. If the decking shows signs of premature deterioration, LP will arrange for a free replacement of the affected decking.
