Propane (LP) gas
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Valero Marketing & Supply Co. is recalling propane that may lack adequate odorant, a chemical added to propane gas to help customers detect leaks. Propane without proper odorant levels can pose fire, explosion, and thermal burn hazards because consumers may not notice leaking gas.
The recall affects propane purchased or delivered between January 2008 and October 2008 from numerous retailers across Alabama, Arkansas, California, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Consumers who purchased propane during this period should contact their propane gas supplier or the retail location where they had their home propane tank or portable cylinders filled to have the propane tested and receive additional odorant if needed.
