Jardine is recalling three models of wooden cribs sold by Babies"R"Us because wooden slats in these cribs can break and create gaps that pose entrapment and strangulation hazards to infants and toddlers. The affected models are the Dark Pine Olympia Lifetime Crib (model DA715BC, manufactured between February 2004 and January 2007), the Antique Walnut Capri Single Crib (model 0108L00, manufactured between July 2006 and November 2007), and the White Capri Lifetime Crib (model 0308C00, manufactured between December 2005 and November 2007). Consumers can determine if their crib is affected by checking the date code and model number on the label inside the bottom rail of the headboard or footboard.
According to the recall, consumers should immediately stop using the recalled cribs and contact Jardine to receive a credit towards purchasing a new Jardine crib. In the meantime, parents should find an alternative safe sleep environment for their child, such as a bassinet, play yard, or toddler bed depending on the child's age.

This recall involves three models of Jardine wooden cribs with the date codes identified below. Cribs with other date codes are not affected by this recall. The date code and model number are printed on the label located on the inside of the bottom rail of the headboard or footboard.
