Cozy Cushion infant bean bag cushions
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Gold, Inc. and Pinky Baby Products are voluntarily recalling approximately 146,000 infant bean bag cushions sold since 1988 under the brand names "Support Sack" and "Cozy Cushion" due to suffocation risk. These fabric-covered, polystyrene pellet-filled cushions are intended for use with infants, and many are equipped with restraining waist and crotch straps. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has received 19 reports of infants found dead lying face-down on infant bean bag cushions, though none of these deaths involved products from the companies issuing this recall.
Both manufacturers and the Commission urge consumers to stop using these products immediately. Affected consumers can exchange their bean bag cushion for a free infant product by cutting a 6-inch square from the product's cover and mailing it along with the paper tag bearing the manufacturer's name to either Gold, Inc. in Denver, Colorado or Pinky Baby Products in Houston, Texas, depending on the product brand. Alternatively, consumers may return the product to the place of purchase for a refund.
