TKS Children's Pants sold by Sears have been recalled due to a hazard posed by their waist belts. The first recalled style features denim pants with a brown ribbon belt and includes a sewn-on patch with an embroidered butterfly. These were sold in infant sizes 12 months, 18 months, and 24 months, as well as toddler sizes 2T, 3T, and 4T under model numbers 62240 and 62254. The second style consists of khaki pants with a fabric belt, two cargo pockets (one with an embroidered heart), and plaid trim on button-cuffed legs, sold in toddler sizes 2T, 3T, and 4T under model number 62226.
The ribbon belt on the first style and the fabric belt on the second style can pose an entrapment or entanglement hazard to children. According to the recall, consumers should immediately remove the belt to eliminate the hazard.
