Antioch Publishing has recalled various bookmarks and journals from its Signature Collection because paint on the spiral metal bindings of the journals, the clip of the bookmarks, and the clear coating on the marquis bookmarks and bracelets contain excessive levels of lead. This violates the federal lead paint ban. The recalled products include clip bookmarks with designs such as Winnie the Pooh, Star Coffee, Lady Bug & Flower, Sun & Rainbow, Follow Him & Cross, Hope & Courage, Sun & Moon, and Monkey & Bananas, as well as marquis bookmarks with Dragon and Hugging Cat designs that were sold with bracelets, and journals including Mother's Touch Breast Cancer, Cherry Blossoms, Sweetheart, and Sassy.
According to the recall record, consumers should immediately take the bookmarks and journals away from children and contact Antioch Publishing for a refund.
