Stand-alone CleanEffects and AccuClean Air Filtration Systems
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Trane CleanEffects and American Standard AccuClean whole-house air filtration systems are being recalled because electrical arcing inside the collection cells can cause the material to overheat or ignite, creating a fire hazard. The recall affects specific models with serial numbers prior to 7222* that were installed with air handlers or furnaces, though integrated units and those with the "Perfect Fit" upgrade are excluded.
Consumers with recalled systems should stop using them immediately by pushing and holding the round power button on the front of the air cleaner door for about three seconds until the LED panel illuminates, then release the button. The affected consumers will be notified directly about receiving a free replacement collection cell.
