Fisher-Price has recalled certain Geo Trax locomotive toys because the surface paint contains excessive levels of lead. The recall affects two models: the Geo Trax Freightway Transport and Geo Trax Special Track Pack. These toys are red with yellow paint on the ladder and horn details. The recalled products were manufactured between July 31, 2006 and August 20, 2007 and can be identified by date codes between 212-6CK and 325-6CK or 001-7CK and 232-7CK marked on the bottom, with packaging marked H5705 for the Freightway Transport model and K3013 for the Special Track Pack model.
Consumers who have these recalled toys should immediately remove them from children's access and contact Fisher-Price. To complete the recall process, consumers must return the product in order to receive a free replacement toy.
