Bicycles with Carbon Cranksets
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Cannondale is recalling bicycles equipped with two-piece carbon cranksets that have an integrated aluminum bottom bracket. The crankset, which is the gear assembly at the front of the bicycle chain where the pedals attach, can break and cause the rider to fall. The recalled bicycles include specific 2007 and 2008 models of Synapse Carbon, Ironman, System 6, Cyclocross, Taurine, and Rush Carbon road and mountain bikes, as well as certain framesets and cranksets sold separately.
Consumers who own affected bicycles should contact a Cannondale dealer, who will inspect the crankset to determine whether a free replacement is needed.
