What happened

The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Weed Wizard Acquisition Corp. have announced a recall of Weed Wizard trimmer heads that feature metal chains. These aftermarket parts are designed to replace standard string trimmer heads on gas-powered weed trimmers. During use, the end link of the metal chain can detach unexpectedly and be propelled at high velocity, potentially striking the user or bystanders and causing serious injury or death by penetrating skin and bone.

The recalled Weed Wizard trimmer heads came in three varieties: white heads with black chains, yellow heads with black chains, or yellow heads with silver chains. The packaging displays "Weed Wizard," "The Solution to Trimmer Line Problems," "Fits 99% of All Gas Trimmers," and "MADE IN U.S.A." According to the recall notice, affected consumers should stop using the product immediately and discard or destroy it. Hazard
