Multi-Purpose Gas Lighters
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
CFM U.S. Corp. is alerting consumers about multi-purpose butane lighters sold at Wal-Mart under the brand name The Grill Care Company. The lighters, which are either nine or 11 inches long and come in various colors, lack safety warning labels in English. These lighters have Spanish warnings printed on them but are missing the English precautionary information needed for proper use and operation. Without the English warning label, consumers may not understand how to use the lighters safely, which could result in injury.
To determine if you have an affected lighter, look for the words "The Grill Care Company" and "NOM" on the label. Only lighters with Spanish warnings but no English warnings are part of this recall. If you have one of these lighters, you should contact CFM to obtain the missing English safety warning labels and receive instructions on how to properly place them on your lighter.
