Kawasaki KX65 Model Year 2000 motorcycles
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Kawasaki Motors Corp. is recalling certain KX65 Model Year 2000 off-road motorcycles because the frame down tube can crack below the steering head. If the down tube cracks during use, the frame can fail, potentially causing the rider to lose control of the motorcycle and crash, which could result in injury or death.
The recalled motorcycles are small, two-wheel motocross competition vehicles with lime green fenders and bodywork featuring large "Kawasaki" decals. Only Model Year 2000 KX65 motorcycles with VIN numbers ending in 0001 through 6668 are affected; the VIN is located on the frame behind the front fork. According to the record, consumers with recalled motorcycles should stop using them immediately and contact their local Kawasaki dealer to schedule a free inspection and repair.
