Flashing Pacifiers
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Various flashing pacifiers sold by multiple retailers are being recalled because they fail to meet federal safety standards. The main hazards are that the nipple can separate easily from the shield, creating a choking risk. Additionally, some pacifiers sold with necklaces and cords present strangulation hazards, and necklaces with multi-colored beads in shapes like barrels, trains, boats, and animals pose an aspiration hazard. Though marketed for children ages 6 and older or 12 and older, these products could be given to babies and may cause serious injury or death.
The recalled pacifiers are clear or colored purple, blue, pink, or green with red and blue, red and light green, or orange flashing LED lights. They may be sold individually or with rainbow cords attached to handles, some with breakaway connectors or multi-colored beads. According to the recall, consumers should immediately remove these pacifiers from young children and dispose of them, or return them to retailers for a refund.
