Sunroom Roof Glass and Skylights
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Sunlight reflecting off certain sunroom roof glass and skylights in Four Seasons Sunrooms could pose a fire hazard by reflecting onto adjacent cedar shingles or cedar shakes. The affected products are Four Seasons Sunrooms with reflective Code 77 roof insulating glass units sold from 1996 through 2002 (though possibly constructed later), as well as any sunrooms regardless of construction date that had roof glass or skylights replaced with Code 77 glass between 1996 and 2005.
Cardinal IG and Four Seasons will repair affected units for free by installing a capillary tube in the roof glass. The repair can generally be completed from the exterior of the sunroom, though certain types of skylights may require interior access. The glass does not need to be replaced. Owners should call the toll-free number to determine if their sunroom is affected and to obtain the free repair.
