Toro Snow Commander and CCR Single Stage Snowthrowers
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
The Toro Company is recalling 2001 and 2002 Toro Snow Commander and CCR model snowthrowers because the plastic fuel tank can crack and leak gasoline, creating a fire and injury hazard. The recall affects multiple models and serial numbers across both product lines, with affected units ranging from 20-inch to 24-inch single-stage and electric start models that originally retailed between $590 and $960.
Consumers who own a potentially affected snowthrower should contact their local Toro Authorized Service Dealer to confirm whether their unit is included in the recall. The model and serial numbers needed to check eligibility are located on the rear of the axle plate between the wheels. If the snowthrower is part of the recall, the dealer will schedule an appointment to install a free replacement fuel tank at no cost to the consumer.
