What happened

Two-seat go-karts manufactured by Manco (Blazer model 1050L-09) and Sunright International (model RTV50-SK50) are being recalled because the throttle can fail and prevent the engine from returning to idle speed, which creates a loss of control hazard for drivers. The recalled go-karts have 49 cc engines with electric start and were produced in red, green, blue, and yellow. Manco go-karts with VIN numbers 1095292 through 1099782 and Sunright go-karts with VIN numbers 04100017 through 05100771 are affected. The VIN can be found on Manco models behind the seat back cushion and on Sunright models stamped on the side of the engine.

According to the recall notice, affected consumers should stop using the recalled go-karts immediately. Registered owners will be notified directly by either Manco or Sunright. To obtain a free repair, consumers should call or visit the retail location where they purchased their go-kart to schedule service.
