Polaris "900 Fusion" "900 RMK" and "900 Switchback" Snowmobiles
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Polaris is recalling 2005 model year "900 Fusion," "900 RMK," and "900 Switchback" snowmobiles due to a wiring harness routing issue that may cause the engine stop switch and throttle safety switch connector to become unplugged. If this connector disconnects, the engine stop and throttle safety switches will no longer work, which could create a crash hazard. However, the keyed ignition switch will continue to function and can shut down the vehicle when turned to the OFF position. The thumb warmer and right-hand warmer may also become unplugged under these conditions. Affected models can be identified by checking the model number and serial number on the identification decal located on the right front side of the tunnel.
Polaris is offering a free repair for this issue. Consumers should contact their Polaris dealer to schedule an appointment where a jumper wire will be installed and the existing wiring harness will be secured. Polaris has already notified consumers directly about this recall.
