Is my product affected?

High Intensity Discharge (HID) Light Fixtures with acrylic lenses and/or reflectors

  • Brand Lithonia Lighting of Conyers, Ga.

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Lithonia Lighting indoor HID light fixtures with acrylic lenses and/or reflectors are being recalled because a component can leak fluid that degrades the acrylic, causing it to crack and fall. Falling pieces of acrylic pose an injury risk to people below the fixture. These fixtures are commonly used in retail spaces, light manufacturing areas, warehouses, and gymnasiums. Only certain models of specific wattages manufactured between April 2002 and October 2003 at the Crawfordsville, Indiana facility are affected, along with certain replacement ballast kits from that same period.

To determine if a fixture is recalled, building owners and managers should check the Lithonia website for the specific model and wattage combinations included in the recall, then locate the label on the ballast housing to verify the model number, wattage, and manufacturing date. According to the record, affected customers should contact Lithonia to verify their fixtures are part of the recall and to arrange for either a replacement fixture or faulty component.
